JOB SUMMARY:
Line Cooks are responsible for preparing, cooking and plating all of the items.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Learns all recipes, cook times, and cooking techniques per Chef Fei’s procedures as needed
- Checks the ingredient quality prior to beginning cooking,completing tasks such as ingredient cleaning, cutting, and marinating according to dish requirements to ensure freshness, hygiene, and standardized storage of ingredients.
- Cooks the ingredients in accordance with Chef Fei’s recipes,meets the brand's standards in color, aroma, taste, and presentation.
- During the meal, dishes are efficiently prepared according to the order of service, ensuring optimal temperature and timely presentation.
- Strictly comply with company regulations and food safety protocols (HACCP, ServSafe)
- Attend work meetings on time and perform other tasks as scheduled
Qualifications
- Passionate about the food and beverage industry. At least 2 years of experience in Chinese stir-fry cooking, with preference given to those familiar with Hunan cuisine. Must be capable of independently handling the entire dish preparation process.
- Friendly, energetic, and highly motivated, they thrive in fast-paced, team-based environments, with a strong thirst for knowledge and a willingness to embrace challenges.
- Obtain California Food Handler Certification
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Able to safely use knives and kitchen equipment
- Ability to frequently bend, stretch, and reach for products and supplies (with or without reasonable accommodations)
- Ability to work in temperature-variable environments including refrigerated areas and hot kitchen spaces
- Able to work in noisy environments such as those with stir-fry stations, dishwashers, and other loud kitchen equipment
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the work area to uphold safety standards
COMPENSATION:
Hourly rate: $25-$35/h
Actual base salary within the range is determined by factors including prior experience, industry expertise, current business needs, and market conditions. Range does not include potential bonus or benefits.
